This'll just be a teeny, tiny post. I had a thought the other day about some hoop earrings, how in order to put them in you need to gently pull them apart and insert the pin into the ear hole. While I couldn't find a pair of pre-made designer hoops at Walmart (never tried looking at Claires, though), I bought the findings and experimented with them. In the same manner of how I made my OWN hoops, I just bent the pin into a loop and bent the loop into a 90 degree angle downwards.
For those who don't have pierced ears and want to wear hoops, take a pair of pliers and simply bend the pin. Unfortunately I don't think the same process can be applied to hoops with latches instead of pulling them open to put them on. The latch may be too loose. Experiment with pierced earrings and see how you might be able to alter them to suit your needs.
