Varied Armband - Arm Harness style

Inspired by my ever favorite character portrayed by the ever gorgeous Vin Diesel...I thought I'd make a variation of the arm band he wears in "The Chronicles of Riddick". It's a band that is wrapped just below the elbow, travels down the fore-arm and wraps around the wrist. Now, his is a wide cloth-type arm-wrap, mine is just a simple band.

I used three strands of thick foam-like ribbon to make my arm bands. I simply braided them all together, wrapped it around my arm (excess ribbon I just re-wrapped up the side).

It turned out rather well. Not exactly like the Riddick's, but I still think it's a cool variation.

I like it...now if I just had some more ribbon...or even better still...LEATHER...I'd make another for the other side.

I know where I can get some leather strap on a spool...I just need the $$$. I'm going to try again, and see if I can't do a better job with some better material. Here's what happens when you have material you don't have a use for and boredom collide in the late afternoon.
